The history of Nose Work in Estonia began in 2021, when the first training sessions started at the “My Dog” school under the guidance of Alla Bushinskaya.
The first official competition took place in March 2024, bringing together approximately 20 participating teams.
That same summer the Eesti Nose Work Liit was established as the official representative organization for Nose Work in Estonia. Under the initiative leadership of its founder, Alla Bushinskaya, and with the dedicated efforts of her team extensive work was undertaken to promote an expand the discipline all over the country. Activities included the organization official and training competitions, introductory workshops, seminars and webinars and collaborations with the international experts.
In autumn 2024, the first trainer education program was launched, resulting in the graduation of 13 certified Nose Work specialists.
The summer of 2025 saw the successful implementation of Estonia’s first international Nose Work camp, organized to a high standard and met with positive reception.
Thanks to the league’s activities, more and more sport teams are joining this discipline in 2025, and the number of events continues to grow. We can confidently say that Nose Work is spreading across the country and becoming increasingly popular.
